Municipality of the province of Granada formed by the towns of Acequias, Béznar, Talará, Mondújar, Chite and Murchas. The most important nucleus is formed by Talará and Mondújar. In these towns you can find most of the services. The furthest town from this centre is Béznar, about 4 km away.
Mondújar is located in the southwestern slope of Sierra Nevada, at 738 m. of altitude. Famous in the past, where it seems that King Boabdil stopped on his way out to the Alpujarras after handing over Granada to the Catholic Monarchs. The town has 600 inhabitants mainly dedicated to the cultivation of olive, almond and sour trees. The locals are distributed between the Church district, older, and the new neighborhood, next to the old national road, a few meters from Talará. It is 5 km from Dúrcal and 30 km from Granada.
It is remarkable the view of the city centre from the national road or the high fountain in Sierra Nevada.
Another of the tourist attractions of this municipality that brings together 6 towns is the gastronomy, which covers a great repertoire of typical dishes.
The most typical dishes of the town of Acequías , Béznar and Mondújar are: the stew of fennels and the orange soaking.
→ The festival of San Juan Bautista (June 23rd).
→ The day of the Virgen del Rosario (first Sunday in October), is celebrated with verbena, cucañas and fireworks.
These beautiful towns allow both locals and foreigners to carry out outdoor activities, and thus enjoy both their landscapes and their people.
Among the activities of leisure and sports in the municipality of Lecrín, we emphasize:
In Mondújar it is also typical to see the locals playing brisca and dominoes in the tavern, or practising hunting rabbit, partridge, hare, pigeon, wild boar and mountain goat

The Mondújar Mill is one of the jewels of our region, which still survives to show us the level of technological engineering in the transformation of oil of these past centuries
It has been restored in 2005 and opened its doors in 2006 to become a museum mill, which apart from showing the specific devices of oil, will house in its premises a series of exhibitions of different topics that will change throughout the year.
It is one of the two "tower mills" that exist in the region next to the Acequias mill, but with the difference that this one has been totally restored
